The relationship between dogs and humans is unique and has endured through tens of thousands of years - isn't that incredible? We are 'loved' by humans, sometimes more than you love your own kind. This doesn't mean that we aren't subject to pain and suffering at the hands of people.
In some parts of the world we have our legs broken and tied over our heads, packed on top of each other into crates and driven to markets where we are sold to be killed and eaten.
There are many other horrors inflicted on us, including being caged and experimented on.

If this can happen to us, a species that humans hold so dear to them, imagine what is being done to all our animal kin.
